Dress Codes & Themes:

If you know Rosa, she loves a theme and a dress code - sequins & dressing up have always been encouraged.

Dress Code: Friday, October 17th

Welcome Toast: Under the Starry Pines

A nod to Van Gogh’s Starry Night and other paintings depicting the heavens.

  • Vibe: Moody, a little whimsical, our north stars...

  • Dress Code: “Celestial Chic” — navy, deep greens, silvers, metallics, or starry accents. Guests could add a touch of shimmer, constellation-inspired jewelry, or cosmic prints.

Dress Code: Saturday, October 18th

This wedding has a theme and we are encouraging you to:

Dress to Impress! Inspired by the Moody, Fabulous, Dramatic, Artful, Romance of baroque, impressionist, and renaissance paintings, the glamor of an art museum gala, and the drama of fall—please wear formal attire in rich, romantic tones.

  • Think romantic pinks, plum, gold, emerald green, navy, and even black.

  • Texture and drama encouraged: velvet, satin, organza, and floral prints.

  • Statement jewelry, vintage coats, or bold accessories are very welcome.

  • (It’s an October wedding, please take advantage of the (costume) season!)

The ceremony, reception, and afterparty are outdoors in a Hocking Hills forest and valley, so heels that work on grass and layers for cool temps are highly recommended.

Color & Style Prompts:

  1. Jewel tones: wine, emerald, navy, copper, gold

  2. Soft romance: dusty rose, mauve, gold, ivory

  3. Fabrics: velvet, silk, chiffon, brocade, metallic

  4. For drama: capes, headpieces, sculptural silhouettes, bold jewelry

  5. Optional theme idea: "If you were a painting, or a time period in art history…"

Footwear Note (Important!):

All events are outside! There will be stairs, grass, mulched paths, etc. Please choose shoes that are fun, outside, grass, and dance floor-friendly (i.e. block heels, boots, or dressy flats).

P.S. Take advantage of the season, go all out, “out dress the bride” — even though we all know that is going to be impossible.

When else do you have a reason to really DRESS UP like you’re headed to the Met Gala? Pull out that special something hidden in the back of your closet you’ve been waiting to wear for “just the right event / party,” because this is it!
